Filings / Search
Search filing content.
Find source documents by what they discuss, then read the matching filing and cite its source.
Metadata search versus content search
GET /v1/filings | Filter by company, type, fiscal year or publication date. |
POST /v1/search | Search indexed titles and text; use kinds: ["document"] for filings only. |
search_filings | MCP semantic filing discovery with optional company scope. |
get_filing | Read metadata and retained text sections for one result. |
Good search queries
Use concrete disclosure language such as “capacity expansion”, “margin guidance”, “auditor resignation”, “related-party transaction” or “pledged shares”. Scope by company when the question is issuer-specific.
Evidence handling
- 01Keep the returned company, document type and publication timestamp.
- 02Read the source section rather than relying only on the search snippet.
- 03Cite the source URL and distinguish filing date from the period discussed.
